Microsoft announced a slew of new voice commands for Cortana, including “I’m home” and “I’ll call you later.”
The new apps allow users to ask Cortana to answer their questions, and Cortana can respond in a way that makes sense for the situation.
The apps also include “I can’t find my keys,” “Where are my keys?” and “My keys aren’t working.”
Microsoft also added “I don’t want to do this.”
Users can also use the voice commands in apps like Microsoft Teams, Skype, Xbox, and OneNote, among others.
Cortana also got a new feature, “Home.”
Cortana will be able to ask you questions about home, such as, “What’s the weather like this morning?”
Cortana will also respond with “It’s good to be home!”
Users can ask Cortana questions about their home and the things they like about their neighborhood, and she will reply in a non-judgmental way, using phrases like, “This house is quiet.
It smells nice.”
Cortana can also respond in more detail.
The new voice-based apps are part of a new update to Cortana that is rolling out to the Windows 10 operating system.
Cortana is available for $1.99 in the Windows Store, and you can use it in Windows 10 devices and on Microsoft’s own Windows 10 Mobile and Windows 10 Enterprise operating systems.
