It may be the second year in a row that the newborn baby racoon, born in November, has proved to be a bit of a hit.

This year, the baby was spotted by a passerby on the street outside a restaurant in the Edmonton suburb of Edgewood, the CBC reported.

The baby was found in a basket and is currently on a leash, but will be taken to the Edmonton Zoo, the Edmonton Journal reported.

It is not yet known how the raccoon came to be at the restaurant, the Journal reported, but it is thought the baby may have been kept at the zoo because it was too young to be housed in the animal facility.

In the wild, baby racoons are often kept as pets.

They are commonly used in zoos as part of a breeding program, as well as to test for diseases.

They’re also known to be playful.
